Fact, the CA ports are clogged and nothing is going to unclog them any time soon.

You do not have time to develop those so instead you need to game plan with your freight forwarder or supplier if they handle your shipping.
One of the main reasons for delays is the fact that space on shipping containers changes every day.
They go up, they go down. Everyday.
Usually youโve already been quoted and paid for your shipping.
Most forwarders and suppliers do not want to go through the hassle of contacting you, explaining this to you, and dealing with any problems from it.
So they just wait.
They just wait until they can get your goods on on the boat for the money they have.
Iโve seen people wait two months like this without knowing why.
Your product could be sitting there waiting because of $100.
Speak with your person handling this and come up with a strategy, maybe even for each shipment.
How long can it wait vs how much can you pay to get it moving.
You should already know the answer. They should too.
